Reimagined and modified through a collaborative effort by the entire Bad Cat team, this 50-watt Class AB all-tube amplifier features a completely redesigned gain architecture, tone stack and power section. Built through the Bad Cat Mod Shop, it was conceived as a powerful and highly versatile platform capable of delivering everything from articulate dynamic tones to rich, authoritative overdrive.
The dual-channel design features both LO and HI gain modes, providing a broad range of tonal possibilities. Each channel has its own dedicated GAIN and VOLUME controls, while a global MASTER allows precise control over overall output. This makes the amplifier equally effective for players who want clean headroom and responsive crunch or those looking for more aggressive, saturated tones without sacrificing clarity and dynamic response.
The valve complement consists of three 12AX7 preamp tubes, a 12AX7 phase inverter and a pair of fixed-bias EL34 power tubes. This combination delivers a powerful and focused response with solid low end, pronounced mids and excellent definition, while retaining the touch sensitivity and harmonic complexity expected from a high-end valve amplifier. Studio-grade reverb adds spaciousness and depth, while the buffered FX loop provides an ideal connection point for delays, modulation effects and modern pedalboard setups.
Its open-back Baltic birch cabinet is fitted with custom 12-inch Celestion loudspeakers, made in the UK and rated at 60 watts and 8 ohms. Carefully matched to the amplifier, they provide broad projection, definition and a rich three-dimensional response.
This particular example is finished in Custom Seafoam “Bronco” Tolex, complemented by a black and silver grille, silver piping and a black leather handle. The result is a striking combination of vintage inspiration and contemporary boutique styling that makes the amplifier immediately recognizable.
Crafted through the Bad Cat Mod Shop and designed and built in Costa Mesa, California, it includes a two-button footswitch for CHANNEL 1/2 and LO/HI switching, together with a custom-fitted slip cover.
