The Thunder Pup from Bigfoot Engineering is a low/mid gain guitar pedal that covers all the classic British overdrive tones, with the option of a stack and combo amp.
The Thunder Pup has 2 settings; Big Amp mode is inspired by the tones of Angus Young (AC/DC) and captures the classic sound of the Marshall Plexi 4×12 stack. It has a little more gain, a stronger low-midrange punch, and a powerful low-frequency response. The Little Amp mode has a faster attack, cleaner mids and more air in the highs like a vintage open back 2×12 combo, like the Vox AC30 or Marshall Bluesbreaker.
The Thunder Pup features no EQ control because the pedal’s tone has been meticulously crafted to always deliver the perfect point. The character of any guitar will always shine through, maintaining every nuance of your playing dynamics and reacting flawlessly to your guitar’s volume controls.
