Fender Custom Shop ’59 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Taos Turquoise Over 3-Tone Sunburst, Used, 2012. A Stratocaster with an extremely captivating look, where the Taos Turquoise finish deliberately allows the classic 3-Tone Sunburst to shine through the Custom Shop’s Heavy Relic work, giving the instrument a unique character and strong personality.
The body is made of alder with a nitrocellulose finish, while the quartersawn maple neck offers great stability and rigidity. The fingerboard is made of premium Madagascar rosewood, a feature particularly sought after by enthusiasts of these years, combined with a 60s Style Oval C profile, a 10″ radius, and 21 Sanko 6105 frets, for the perfect balance between vintage feel and modern playability.
The headstock features a dual string tree, a solution that improves the string angle and contributes to greater tuning stability.
The electronics are handled by three Fender Custom Shop Handwound Strat MD LTD pickups, controlled by the classic 5-way selector switch, capable of delivering all the dynamics, definition, and harmonic richness expected from a high-end Custom Shop instrument. An American Vintage Tremolo bridge completes the package, perfect for preserving the character and response of the most iconic Stratocasters.
The guitar comes with an original Fender Custom Shop case, Shop Floor Traveler case, and all original tags.
