Description
This Fender Custom Shop Classic HBS-1 Stratocaster Black Relic from 2009 offers a more aggressive and versatile take on the classic Strat design, while fully preserving the vintage appeal typical of the Custom Shop. The Black Relic finish gives it an authentic aged look and feel, while the lightweight two-piece ash body provides a lively, resonant tone with clarity and depth.
The one-piece maple neck with a soft V profile delivers a comfortable and solid grip, ideal for both vintage-style players and more modern techniques. The 9.5” radius ensures smooth playability, allowing precise bending and consistent response across the entire fretboard.
The HSS configuration is the standout feature: the Seymour Duncan SH-4 bridge pickup delivers powerful output and punch, perfect for driven tones and cutting leads, while the Custom ’69 grey bobbin single coils retain that classic Strat sparkle and articulation. The S-1 switching system expands tonal options even further, making this guitar highly adaptable across a wide range of musical styles.
With an American Vintage tremolo, nickel hardware and a mint green pickguard, every detail reflects a perfect blend of vintage style and modern performance. Weighing around 3.35 kg, it is comfortable, responsive and ready for both studio and stage use
