Description
This 2021 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Tomatillo III Relic blends true vintage spirit with modern precision in a remarkably balanced way. The alder solid body with nitro finish enhances the classic Sunburst and the carefully executed Relic treatment, delivering the feel of a well-played instrument while remaining structurally solid and responsive. The AA birdseye maple neck with the 11/56 Off Center V profile feels substantial yet ergonomic, offering a strong grip and immediate connection. The maple fingerboard features a 7.25”–9.50” compound radius and 21 narrow tall 6105 frets, ensuring comfortable chords in the lower register and smooth, effortless bends higher up the neck.
Equipped with three HW Tomatillo single-coils in SSS configuration, it delivers a bright, dynamic and nuanced voice. The five-way switch and T T V control layout make it highly versatile, moving from sparkling cleans to gritty crunch with clarity and definition. Vintage-style bridge, vint strat tuners and 1-ply ’59 style pickguard complete a coherent, period-correct aesthetic. Weighing 3.425 kg, it is well balanced and comfortable for long sessions. Supplied with original case and Custom Shop certificate, it captures the golden-era Strat tone with contemporary reliability.
