The Fender Stratocaster Artisan, part of the exclusive series released by Fender in 2014, is a collection designed to combine the elegance of boutique luthiery with the timeless character of the great Stratocasters. These instruments are crafted almost like works of art, with select materials and top-notch finishes, clearly distinguishing them from traditional Custom Shop models.
This Stratocaster features a refined maple top paired with an alder body, a combination that provides balance, definition, and great tonal presence. The neck is crafted from AAA Flame maple with a Gloss Urethane finish and a V-shaped profile, offering a full, extremely comfortable feel and a bold character. The maple fingerboard with a 9.5″ radius and 22 Narrow Jumbo frets ensures modern playability without sacrificing the most authentic Fender feel.
The electronics are handled by three Fat ’50s Strat Chrome single-coil pickups, capable of delivering an open, dynamic, and harmonic-rich sound, with all the character of the best vintage Strats reinterpreted in a more refined way. The 5-way selector further expands the instrument’s versatility, ranging from crystal-clear cleans to fuller, punchier tones.
The setup is completed by the Deluxe 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge, precise and smooth in use, and the elegant Schaller Deluxe tuning machines with ebony buttons, a detail that further underscores the exclusive spirit of the Artisan series.
