Description
This Fender Telecaster from 1972 is an outstanding example of early ’70s Fullerton craftsmanship, offering a clear, articulate tone and excellent build quality. The guitar is completely original, with period-correct components throughout.
The ash body provides brightness and attack, while the maple neck dated October 3, 1972 features a comfortable “C” profile and original 21 frets in excellent condition. The original “F” stamped neck plate, Fender tuners, and three-brass-saddle bridge are all intact and functional.
The pots, dated 1966, are consistent with the transitional years when Fender continued using earlier stock components. Electronics are untouched, with cloth wiring and a three-way selector controlling two original single coil pickups. The bridge pickup delivers the trademark Telecaster twang, while the neck unit provides warm, rounded tones with excellent note definition.
Resonance and sustain are impressive, confirming the lively and responsive nature of Fender instruments from this era. The guitar comes with its original Fender hard case from the same period, in great condition.
A highly original and resonant example, perfectly capturing the tone and feel of early ’70s Fender Telecasters.
