At first glance, the PA-1Q series may appear to be digital EQ effect units, but they are in fact analog equalizers. Including the I/O sections, the EQ circuits through which the guitar/bass signals pass are entirely analog, shaping the rich tones of guitar and bass in the analog domain. This is the same signal processing method you’d find in traditional graphic equalizers with conventional slider volume controls. While the PA-1Q units are analog effect devices, their parameter control section is digital—capable of precisely storing and managing various parameter states in the digital domain. This allows real-time control of parameters via presets and MIDI.
