Description
The GFI System Rossie is a compact digital filter pedal designed to deliver three main processing modes: Envelope Filter, Step Filter, and Manual Filter. Its custom DSP engine provides precise and musical filter curves with a wide sweep range, ensuring clarity and low noise at all settings.
The Envelope mode responds to playing dynamics, shaping the opening of the filter according to the input signal. Adjustable parameters allow fine control of sensitivity, depth, speed, and sweep direction, making it suitable for classic funk tones as well as more controlled modern applications.
The Step Filter mode creates rhythmic, sequenced filter movements, where the cutoff follows a stepped modulation pattern. The pedal offers selectable step counts, movement shapes, and tempo via tap control, enabling everything from steady pulses to complex evolving sequences.
Manual mode provides a static or externally controllable filter position. It can be used for slow sweeps, vocal-like tonal shifts, or fixed filter placements for mix shaping.
The Rossie includes three filter types: low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass. The resonance control adds emphasis at the cutoff frequency for a more pronounced, expressive character. The high-quality DSP ensures smooth sweeps without artifacts across the entire filter range.
With an intuitive interface, metal enclosure, compact footprint, and low power consumption, the Rossie is suitable for guitar, bass, and various electronic instruments. It is ideal for players seeking detailed tonal shaping and creative filter-based effects.
