This Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Les Paul Lemon Plain Top is a faithful recreation of one of the most iconic instruments ever produced by Gibson. The mahogany body is paired with a two-piece plain maple top finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, featuring the classic Lemon finish that recalls the look of late-1950s Les Paul models. The result is a guitar that combines vintage aesthetics, strong resonance and a rich dynamic response.
The mahogany neck features the classic 50’s Rounded Medium C profile, delivering the substantial feel associated with historic Les Paul instruments. The Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius and 22 Historic Gibson Narrow Tall frets ensures smooth playability and excellent control for expressive bends and articulate phrasing. Electronics are powered by a pair of Custombucker pickups with Alnico III magnets, designed to recreate the character of original PAF pickups with warm lows, complex mids and sweet, articulate highs. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge paired with a lightweight aluminum stop bar enhances sustain and attack, while nickel hardware and vintage-style Kluson tuners complete the authentic look.
