Description
For metal fans, Kirk Hammett needs no introduction. For longtime fans, this guitar will be reminiscent of his “blacked-out” 1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom, which he used on numerous albums and tours with Metallica. The Gibson Custom Shop recreated the guitar in every detail in 2023. The Gibson Les Paul Custom Limited Edition 1989 Kirk Hammett Signature features all-black hardware, as requested by Kirk himself, with exposed T-Type pickups and a Fishman Powerbridge piezo system, paired with a Fishman Powerchip preamp and volume control, adding simulated acoustic sound to this versatile Les Paul Custom.
This guitar is one of only 125 handmade by expert luthiers at the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville as part of this extraordinary limited production run, and has been carefully refinished by Murphy Lab to mirror the original.
What more can I say? For those who have always chased that unmistakable tone, this is the chance to stop searching and start actually playing it.
