Description
The James Tyler Guitars Red, White, and Blue Shmear 2026 is a special edition created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. An instantly recognizable Tyler, built around the spectacular Red, White, and Blue Shmear finish, transforming one of the Californian brand’s most iconic looks into a tribute to American history.
The alder body features rear-routed construction, leaving the front completely free of a pickguard and allowing the finish to take center stage. The neck is made of quartersawn maple, paired with a rosewood fingerboard embellished with a unique Faux Matching White Shmear. Completing the aesthetic are the Limited Signature Logo with BIABA lettering and the “250” reference on the back, elements dedicated to this celebratory edition.
The pickup configuration includes two James Tyler JTS5500s in the neck and middle positions, alongside a Super in the bridge position. The electronics, however, go far beyond the classic five-position configuration: we find the famous Tyler Midboost Preamp powered by the rear battery compartment, the ability to bypass the preamp, series/parallel switching, and a dedicated button that allows the neck pickup to be added even when the bridge pickup is selected. This extremely versatile setup is capable of moving from the more open and defined sounds to the denser, more powerful tones typical of Tyler configurations.
The hardware is completed by the G2TS bridge and Hipshot Locking tuners, a combination designed to offer precision, tuning stability, and immediate response under the fingers.
The James Tyler Red, White, and Blue Shmear 2026 is therefore much more than a simple commemorative edition: it is a complete Tyler in every way, aesthetically spectacular but above all built to be played. A unique model also from a collectible perspective, capable of combining some of the most iconic features of James Tyler Guitars in a guitar dedicated to a unique anniversary, available in Italy and Europe at Guitar Sauce.
