Description
This 2018 Martin D-41 Sunburst perfectly blends heritage, elegance and powerful acoustic performance. The dreadnought body delivers the depth and projection expected from such an iconic model, with a solid spruce top responding with remarkable sensitivity and Indian rosewood back and sides providing deep lows, focused mids and clear yet smooth highs. The Sunburst finish enhances the grain beautifully, while the extensive abalone trim along the top and rosette gives the instrument a refined, unmistakable presence.
The neck feels smooth and comfortable, and the rosewood fingerboard with hexagon abalone inlays adds both visual character and precise guidance under the fingers. Tonally, it stands out for its balance and headroom: open chords bloom with richness, fingerstyle passages remain articulate, and flatpicking has power without losing clarity. At just 2.055 kg, it is impressively light for a dreadnought of this class, ready to resonate against the player and fill the room with a wide, authoritative voice. Complete with original case and documentation, it is a statement piece both visually and sonically.
