Description
This 2014 Suhr Classic Antique takes one of the most iconic electric guitar designs and refines it with the outstanding build quality, reliability and attention to detail for which the Californian brand is renowned. Its solid alder body is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, delivering a balanced and highly musical response with focused lows, present midrange and clear highs that remain smooth and controlled.
The roasted maple neck features a satin nitro finish and a comfortable Even C Medium profile, providing a substantial yet natural feel across the entire fingerboard. The Indian rosewood fingerboard has a 9” to 12” compound radius and 22 Nickel Heavy frets, making chords comfortable in the lower positions while offering a flatter and more effortless surface for bends and lead playing higher up the neck. A 42.5 mm Tusq nut contributes to tuning stability and an even response across all six strings.
Its three Suhr ML Standard pickups deliver a dynamic, detailed and remarkably versatile SSS voice. The traditional positions provide all the clarity, sparkle and articulation expected from a great vintage-inspired instrument, while the in-between settings are elastic, deep and full of character. The Mega Blade switch expands the available tonal palette even further, making the guitar equally convincing with pristine clean sounds, expressive crunch tones and articulate lead settings.
A Gotoh 510 tremolo and Suhr locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability, precise operation and dependable performance. This is a guitar that retains the feel and emotional response of a traditional instrument while adding the playability, versatility and consistency required by the modern musician. Supplied with its original gig bag, certificate and tremolo arm. Weight: 3.520 kg.
