Description
The 2000 Suhr Michael Thompson Classic in 59 Burst finish is a rare and highly sought-after instrument, crafted with top-tier specifications. The two-piece alder body delivers a balanced and versatile tonal foundation, while the one-piece maple neck and fingerboard with a 9″–12″ compound radius ensure smooth playability across the entire fretboard. The Even C Medium neck profile, combined with 22 nickel frets and a 646 mm scale length, provides exceptional comfort for both rhythm work and lead playing.
Its electronics feature an SSS configuration with a JS Noise Free single-coil in the neck position, a V60 SC in the middle, and a Classic T Black in the bridge. This setup offers an impressive tonal range, from clear and articulate cleans to more aggressive and cutting sounds, making the guitar highly versatile across multiple styles. The controls consist of Volume, two Tone knobs, and a 5-way switch for maximum tonal flexibility.
The hardware includes a Gotoh 1099T SS tremolo bridge in chrome finish and Sperzel locking tuners, ensuring tuning stability even under heavy tremolo use. A 3-ply white/black pickguard and white knobs complete the understated and elegant look. Weighing 3.52 kg, the guitar comes with its original hard case and certificate.
