Description
This Supro Vibra Verb 6498 VR is a rare and evocative vintage combo amp, a true artifact from the early 1960s. Made in Chicago by the legendary Valco company, this all-tube amplifier features a pair of original Jensen Special Design C12PS speakers, consistent with the era and known for their smooth response and clarity.
Visually, the grey textured tolex and aged light grill cloth give the amp a strikingly authentic vintage look. The top-mounted control panel—aged and oxidized but full of charm—houses original-style knobs for volume, tone, vibrato speed and intensity, plus reverb intensity. Switches and jacks appear period-correct, maintaining its original vibe.
The power section includes four visible vacuum tubes, along with original transformers that help produce that unmistakable warm, dynamic, and harmonically rich tube tone. One of the highlights of this amp is its lush onboard vibrato—deep, wobbly, and dripping with 60s soul.
This Supro isn’t just a collectible: it’s an inspiring musical tool. Whether you’re after shimmering clean tones or smooth tube overdrive, the Vibra Verb delivers with style and history. A true American classic ready to play.
