Description
The Baroni Lab AFK150 is a compact 150-watt hybrid effect designed to combine the tonal richness of a tube preamp with the reliability and headroom of a solid-state power section. Its ECC81 tube delivers warmth, natural compression and a smooth transition from clean tones to overdrive, while the solid-state output stage ensures consistent performance and full compatibility with cabinets of various impedances.
It features two independent channels, Clean and Drive, each equipped with a dedicated three-band EQ. The Clean channel offers a bright, open, American-style response with plenty of headroom, while the Drive channel provides a modern British-voiced gain structure, pronounced mids and articulate saturation even at high gain settings.
Connectivity includes a switchable series/parallel effects loop, a Line Out with built-in cabinet simulation for direct recording or live use, and a remote footswitch input for channel switching. Selectable impedance (4, 8, or 16 ohms) makes it compatible with virtually any guitar cabinet, with output power adjusted according to the load.
Despite its power, the AFK150 remains highly portable. The removable wooden side panels allow for both desktop use and pedalboard installation. The Stand-by switch keeps the tube warm while disabling the power amp, useful for warm-up periods or silent operation. This unit is used but fully functional and in good overall condition.
