The Emerson Paramount is an overdrive pedal hand assembled in Tulsa, Oklahoma, not created to replicate the sound of any other pedal, it can go from clean boost to medium gain that fits the mix perfectly. As for the sound, it’s as close as you can get to the sound of a tube amp being pushed really hard. This OD is very dynamic and responds excellently to the player’s attack and subtle nuances pairing really well with mild boost or overdrive pedals (especially their EM-Drive Emerson) to give you an even more powerful tone. Most other drive pedals are clones of an old circuit, but the guys at Emerson Custom created the Paramount as an original circuit, giving you a distinct yet familiar distortion sound. The three controls provide everything you need to achieve familiar tones, as well as the ability to achieve your own sound. The Paramount is true bypass and can be safely inserted into the effects chain.
