Description
This Stratocaster is a top-tier Masterbuilt creation by Austin Macnutt at the Fender Custom Shop. Faithfully inspired by the 1959 model, it delivers vintage tone and feel with modern precision and masterful attention to detail.
The two-piece sorted-for-lightweight alder body is finished in aged nitrocellulose lacquer (Aged Vintage Blonde relic) and paired with a mint green 8-hole pickguard. The neck is quartersawn maple with a 1960-style Oval “C” profile, slab AAA dark rosewood fretboard, 9.5″ radius, 21 narrow tall frets and rolled edges. The nitro finish on the neck is worn-in for a smooth, broken-in feel.
Electronics include a trio of Fender Custom Shop hand-wound pickups, vintage wiring, and a Strat Blender mod with Tone Saver. It’s wired with 250k pots, 5-way switch, and aged white plastic parts. Hardware includes a relic’d American Vintage tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuners.
The guitar weighs in at 3.310 kg and includes the full set of case candy: original tweed hardshell case, COA (serial R1371), trem arm, leather strap, Fender Custom Shop tool kit, and Shop Floor Traveler dated 11/18/2024.
This is a stunning collector-grade Stratocaster with superb playability and unmistakable Custom Shop character.
