Description
The Klon KTR First Series perfectly embodies the entire philosophy of Bill Finnegan’s legendary circuit. The classic red enclosure, essential and without frills, houses an overdrive that has set standards for transparency, dynamics, and responsiveness. The Gain, Treble, and Output controls allow for extremely natural sound shaping, while always preserving the character of the instrument and amplifier. It’s the kind of pedal that doesn’t overwhelm, but enhances: from a crystalline clean boost to a harmonic-rich overdrive, always defined and never muddy.
This first series represents one of the most sought-after versions of KTR’s production, with all the charm of a design designed to be an absolute benchmark in the world of overdrive. The famous message printed on the front already says a lot about its character: direct, ironic, and aware of the myth that surrounds it. Used, but capable of delivering exactly the unique feel that made the Klon a legend, it’s a pedal that fits into any setup, instantly elevating its sound quality, both as an always-on pedal and as a boost for full, singable leads.
